Mindy Kaling Answers Questions About "Night Out"

OfficeTally has been kind enough to facilitate a Q & A session with Mindy, found here. I thought "Night Out" was one of the best episodes of the season. Mindy always gets the characters dead on. My favorite parts: Toby's "Casino Night" and Kelly saying, "How dare you?" Anyway, lots of good questions were answered in the Q & A, so check it.

Mindy's Adventures with Angela!

Everyone is super excited about Angela's little-girl-on-the-way, and I am so glad that Mindy Kaling wasn't left out of the fun.

No overalls, Angela, no overalls.

An Introduction Is In Order...

Unless you are a complete idiot or just have bad reading skills, I shouldn't have to tell you that this is a fanblog dedicated to Mindy Kaling, the screenwriter/actress/producer/playwright currently employed on the most fabulous show, "The Office." I mostly admire her for her screenwriting prowess and rawesome style, but the other things are pretty nifty too. I am doing this blog mostly for myself, but it would make me happy if there were actual people reading it. And since my handicapped computer skills make it impossible for me to insert a hit counter at all, I will just have to post with blind faith that my efforts have been noticed. Unless some nice people would comment somewhere, telling me that they are viewing my blog. I would, of course, also welcome comments, constructive criticism, and even blatant worshipping. Until later!

Mindy Kaling Featured In Esquire

Mindy wrote and posed for an article in Esquire entitled "10 Things You Don't Know About Women." I really enjoyed them all, but My favorite is number 4:
"Girls like it when you nickname them something smaller than a bread box. Chickadee, Pat of Butter, Baby Mouse. This makes us feel tiny and adorable. Space Heater and Minivan do not."
This reminds me of a previous article she did in Esquire, "How To Impress a Funny Girl." Find it here.

Blast From the Past: USA Weekend

Well, I really wanted to post, so here it is: your first blast from the past. The name is corny, but it makes me think of sci-fi movies, so you will have to live with it. In this article, they were featuring SAG award nominees, who shared a small anecdote about their SAG experience. I was particularly thrilled when I saw this because it wasn't really trumpeted online.

My apologies for the sucky quality.

Mindy in "A Night Out With"

Mindy Kaling was recently featured in "A Night Out With," a New York Times segment. Slightly humiliating: my extent of knowledge of this particular column stems from Blair Waldorf's feature in "Gossip Girl." That show is crack for the vapid.

Anyway, it's a great article. My favorite part is the "Corpse Betty" line, which appealed directly to my affinity for turning hit shows slightly morbid. (I'm still waiting for "Dead Judy", the "Judge Judy" spinoff, to be picked up. Dead Judy would utter kneeslappers such as "I rest my casket."

Mindy looks adorable in that crazy cute silver top. Where can I get my hands on it?
